In 1938, Minneapolis-Moline introduced the U Deluxe Comfortractor, a farm tractor with advanced features like an electric starter, a speedometer on the dashboard, a cigarette lighter, a heater, a radio, and windshield wipers. Although the UDLX model was considered ahead of its time and a precursor to modern tractors, its high price tag resulted in sluggish sales.
